Estadio Nacional Dennis Martínez

Estadio Nacional Dennis Martínez – this stadium was built in 1948 and was the largest in Central America at the end of its construction (surviving the 1972 mega earthquake). The stadium was named in honor of Nicaragua first baseball player to play in Major League Baseball (MLB). It currently acts as a venue for both baseball and football (soccer) games, as well as concerts and religious events. The Dennis Martínez National Stadium has a capacity for 40,000 — making it the largest stadium in Nicaragua.
